Chocolate

Chocolate has caffeine!!!
Yes… Chocolate does have caffeine…but less than coffee !!!!!
A single chocolate chip can provide sufficient food energy for an adult to walk 150 feet!!!
It is reported that Napoleon carried chocolate with him
on his military campaigns, and always ate it when he
needed quick energy.
Like many aspects of our health, our sex
drive is affected by what we put into our bodies. A few
drinks and a thick steak, followed by a rich chocolate
dessert, may sound romantic, but it is actually a
prologue to sleep -- NOT SEX.
Hernando Cortez, the great Spanish explorer
found the Aztec Indians using cocoa beans in the
preparation of the royal drink of the realm, "chocolatl",
meaning warm liquid.
Cortez brought the cocoa beans to Spain and sweetened
it with cane sugar. The idea found favor and the
drink underwent several more changes with newly
discovered spices, such as cinnamon and vanilla.

Mercedes cars

Mercedes cars were actually named after an Austrian girl !!!
In 1897, Austrian businessman Emil Jellinek, purchased a car from the Daimler factory in Cannstatt, Germany. He decided to enter it into a local touring competition, under the name of "Mercedes" after his favourite 9 year old daughter. Realising the business potential for the new car, he not only placed an order for 36 more, but also secured the franchise for selling them in several countries. Gottlieb Daimler also agreed to have them sold under the name of "Mercedes".

Tomatoes

The tomato is the world's most popular fruit
The tomato is the world's most popular fruit !!!! And yes, just like the brinjal and the pumpkin; it is a fruit, not a vegetable….
The French called it "The apple of love" and the Germans "The apple of paradise".

Here’s news for the health conscious :-
New medical research suggests that the consumption of lycopene - the stuff that makes tomatoes red may prevent cancer.
And with vitamins C and E, protect us from the free radicals that degrade many parts of the body.
STATISTICS: More than 60 million tons of tomatoes are produced per year, 16 million tons more than the second most popular fruit, the banana. Apples are the third most popular (36 million tons), then oranges (34 million tons) and watermelons (22 million tons).
